The musical group Silfá invites curious listeners of all ages to join them on a walk along the forest paths of the valley and by the river, listening to birdsong and the murmur of water in harmony with viola, piano, and vocals. The result is a unique concert where music and the sounds of summer merge into one.
In the visitor centre at Elliðaárstöð, guests will have the opportunity to take part in the dance experience How Can We Break This Circle? The dance duo Project HOFIE invites the audience to reflect, slow down and enjoy their creative work, and at the same time create in the moment by drawing and painting their own pictures.
At the Nature Crown Workshop, the designers of ÞYKJÓ welcome guests with a buffet of natural materials for decorating their heads in honor of nature and the new season. Children and parents are invited to stay in the workshop for as long as they wish, choosing their own materials and letting their imaginations run free. Inspired by the surroundings of Elliðaárdalur, we create unique crowns together during a cozy family moment. How would you like to welcome the summer? Perhaps you want to step into the summer holidays as a flower queen, a branch chieftain, or a leaf king?
Artists from Hringleikur explore new ideas and approaches within the unique surroundings of Elliðaárstöð, planting seeds that are free to grow in a playground of circus arts. The explorations take place with the physical aspects of different circus apparatus, spatial levels and patterns. Play will arise from elements of aerial silks, hair suspension, partner acrobatics, chinese pole & sway pole.
Visitors can also embark on a scent treasure hunt created by Fischersund.
