At Reykjavík Arts Festival Hub, Steinunn Knúts Önnudóttir created Brothætt: Ritual I – The Healing, an interactive artwork inviting people to let go of what is broken, fractured, or no longer serves them.

Broken ceramics were given new meaning in a different context, coming together to form part of a larger whole: a mosaic shaped through the participation of festival guests.

Brothætt: Ritual I – The Healing can now be seen on the back wall of Tjarnarbíó. A QR code beside the artwork invites visitors to explore its accompanying soundscape.

We encourage all to take a walk up Suðurgata and experience this beautiful work for yourself.
