Reykjavik Arts Festival kicks off today and what we have in store is a veritable feast of events reflecting the diverse and talented group of artists who will delight, provoke and entertain us over the next three weeks. The festival begins with a political explosion of joy as Taylor Mac takes to the stage at the National Theatre, several fascinating visual arts exhibitions open in Reykjavík and Akureyri, Harpa thrums with music, singers flock to the man-made beach at Reykjavik Art Museum, and fantastic tall beings take over the streets!
