IÐNÓ

Join us for an artist talk with Peder Bjurman and Linda Boļšakova, who will discuss their works in the exhibition Membrane at the Nordic House. The exhibition explores soil as a space of regeneration, decay, memory, and imagination. The exhibition is curated by Thomas Pausz who will also moderate this artist talk.

Peder Bjurman is an artist, writer and director. In combining imagery and music with strong abstract or narrative texts, his performances and participatory works often blend the tragical with the poetic or comic. He gives equal importance to light, sound, set and the actors’ performances, often utilizing cutting edge stage technology. His work is often devised and developed in close collaboration with the ensemble or with other artists, composers, designers and stage tech companies.

Linda Boļšakova is an artist whose practice explores human relationships with the environment, drawing parallels between human embodiment and the material life of plants. Her work highlights these interdependencies and nurtures a deeper sense of belonging within ecosystems and the shared community of beings that mutually inhabit the planet.
