Garg’s Listening Room

4 JUN
16:00
IÐNÓ

Garg is a bookstore and community space that brings the margins to the center and offers voices a space to be loud. You are invited to Garg's Listening Room where we will sit in a circle, forming a group that will read text fragments together, out loud. The text to be read is The Carrier Bag Theory of Fiction by the writer Ursula K. Le Guin. Discussions will follow the reading, first in small groups and then as a whole group. Let's come together, listen, use our voices and connect.

The event is in English.

No preparation necessary.

A ramp leads to the front entrance, but the door is not automatic. There is a 5 cm threshold at the entrance with a sloped edge when entering the building, though there is no sloped edge when exiting. Indoor access is generally easy, with elevator access between the 1st and 2nd floors and sloped edges at all public thresholds. An accessible restroom is available on the 1st floor, although it is fairly small. One designated accessible parking space is located on Tjarnargata by Tjarnarskóli.

A dedicated quiet room is on the 2nd floor
