The Storytelling Collective, together with mask dancer Ivalu Skifte-Labansen, open the door to the mysterious world of storytelling.

Through guided meditation and musical performance, the performers invite the audience into a magical world of adventure. According to Greenlandic tradition, life, love and death intertwine in stories that sweep the spectator along on a journey through the Arctic.

The show is a game and a lively conversation between cultures that ends in a powerful Greenlandic masked dance where the ancient speaks directly into the present.

The Storytelling Collective (IS): Hannah Rós Sigurðardóttir Tobin and Maó Alheimsdóttir together with mask dancer Ivalu Skifte-Labansen (GL). The Storytelling Collective is a non-profit organization that cultivates the oral storytelling tradition in Iceland, born out of a desire to create space for different voices and connections through stories and presence. The group works with different approaches to storytelling, both traditional and more modern storytelling styles.
