Generations in Harmony
Hallgrímskirkja Choir hosts a concert bringing two influential Icelandic composers into dialogue: Hildur Guðnadóttir, the festival’s 2026 artist-in-residence, and Jón Nordal who would have celebrated his 100th birthday this spring. The programme features several choral works by Hildur Guðnadóttir, alongside Jón Nordal’s Toccata for organ and his monumental Óttusöngvar á vori (1993) for choir, soprano, countertenor, organ, cello, and percussion. Performers include soprano Álf-heiður Erla Guðmundsdóttir, mezzo-soprano Hanna Dóra Sturludóttir and organist Björn Steinar Sólbergsson. The concert is conducted by Steinar Logi Helgason.
