Codapent - gnocchi workshop
Participants make potato gnocchi from scratch and eat under the guidance of the artists. The work lies on the border between cooking and a self-help class. Each participant carefully selects their potatoes and creates their gnocchi with their intuition and heart. People are led inward, through mind and hand, and invited to connect with a part of themselves that they then develop and shape their dough into. The gnocchi shapes are finally cooked and eaten. This is a physical and spiritual act. A moment in the grand scheme of things. A moment to absorb. Fleeting. Whatever wants to happen can happen. Whatever you feel can be felt. And can find its form.
Codapent is an artistic research project where placebo is practiced in a creative space with the aim to find a cure for codependency. Performance artist Hrefna Lind Lárusdóttir leads the project, which lies on the boundaries of performing arts, visual arts, design and music. From Potato to Recovery is a collaboration with Huginn Þór Arason, a visual artist who has also developed food experiences over the years, and Guðný Hrund Sigurðardóttir, set and costume designer. Since 2019, Huginn and Hrefna have collaborated on the fusion of performance art and cuisine through teaching, workshops and happenings. Guðný has taken part in Codapent’s artistic research since 2023.
