An inimitable and mesmerising duet, spiralling entwined into the air, harnessing their differences and strengths into dance. The Air Between Us is both intimate and spectacular, created by acclaimed New Zealand dancer and choreographer Chloe Loftus, performed alongside Belgian dance artist Florent Devlesaver.

Arriving at this point in time from diverse backgrounds and experiences, this unique aerial dance explores our innate capacity to exist in symbiotic harmony, with each other and with our environment. A celebration of equality and connection, using a bespoke counterweighted rigging system, this extraordinary performance will captivate your imagination.

Based in Aotearoa New Zealand, Chloe Loftus Dance creates captivating performances that have toured internationally to critical acclaim since 2005. Specialising in unique contemporary and aerial outdoor dance performances, the company champions accessibility and community.

The event takes place on Hörputorg, a paved outdoor plaza. The event lasts 30 minutes, and visitors are generally expected to stand. Seating is available on audience steps at the Landsbanki building and on benches in the area. Accessible toilets are available inside Harpa. There are 19 designated accessible parking spaces in Harpa’s underground car park and 2 additional spaces on the seaside of the building.
