Wheelchair

Access at Hafnarhús is generally good. The main doors are automatic sliding doors with no thresholds.
An elevator near the museum shop reaches all floors.
There are benches without armrests in several galleries.
A wheelchair is available to loan at the reception.

The accessible toilet is on the left side of the reception by the main entrance.

Designated accessible parking:

Two spaces in Grófin (between Hafnarhús and the city library)

One space on Tryggvagata, outside Gaukurinn.

Toilets on second floor are gender-neutral.

Free admission for children and disability pensioners.

Free admission for personal assistants (inform reception when collecting tickets)

Backpacks are not allowed in the galleries; storage lockers are located to the right of reception
