Connect with Dario J. Laganà as he assembles a custom solar powered trolley in a living, functional process that sparks a dialogue about mobility, autonomy and endurance. An open sharing session where visitors can join, talk, and engage.

As part of their collaboration, a conversation with curator Annabelle von Girsewald will follow, linking the project’s aims with local artistic communities in Iceland.

Dario J. Laganà is a walking based artist and photographer exploring endurance, solitude, and ecological awareness. “Of Walking on Foot Iceland: A loud solitude” is a three month, 3000 km solo journey, using walking as method and medium to translate environmental experience into visual, sonic, and narrative forms.

Accessibility

Wheelchair with Exclamation Mark

A ramp leads to the front entrance, but the door is not automatic. There is a 5 cm threshold at the entrance with a sloped edge when entering the building, though there is no sloped edge when exiting. Indoor access is generally easy, with elevator access between the 1st and 2nd floors and sloped edges at all public thresholds. An accessible restroom is available on the 1st floor, although it is fairly small. One designated accessible parking space is located on Tjarnargata by Tjarnarskóli.

A dedicated quiet room is on the 2nd floor
