Close your eyes and imagine yourself surrounded by soft moss. The sun caresses your face, the birds are singing. Did you know that blackbirds are great mockingbirds? That snipes sing with their tails, not their beaks? Birds of a feather flock together – come take part in this family event where you help compose the Bird Symphony, new musical work by Sóley Stefánsdóttir in collaboration with ÞYKJÓ.

ÞYKJÓ is a team of designers working for children and their families, creating experiences, installations and products. ÞYKJÓ have been nominated for the Icelandic Design Awards.

Sóley Stefánsdóttir is a composer and musician who has released a great number of albums and compositions. She has also composed music for theatre and other media. Her latest album, Mother Melancholia, was voted-album of the year in the open category at the 2022 ÍSTÓN Awards and was nominated for the Nordic Council Music Prize that same year.
