Legendary actor Bill Murray surprises his audiences once again with his versatility, teaming up with acclaimed German cellist Jan Vogler, to present a spirited evening of music and literature, for two nights only at the Reykjavik Arts Festival.

Film star Bill Murray is known for following his heart and not just stepping, but literally leaping, out of his comfort zone. This he certainly does in this unexpected collaboration with three outstanding classical musicians which has been lauded on both sides of the Atlantic. Earlier this year, the group was summoned for no less than seven curtain calls at Washington’s Kennedy Center.

This is a wildly entertaining mixture of classical music, great American literature and songs vividly performed by Murray and friends. The beloved actor is in his element as he takes the audience on a journey through new worlds, with the help of multi-award-winning cellist Jan Vogler, Mira Wang on the violin and Vanessa Perez on the piano. Each and every one of them could sell out concert halls around the world, so it is no exaggeration to call this group a powerful mix.

The performance will be in English, while an Icelandic translation will be offered for recited texts.
