Opening Ceremony 2010

The Festival was opened by Mrs Hanna Birna Kristjánsdóttir, The Mayor of Reykjavik at the Reykjavik Art Museum, Hafnarhús.
Among artists performing were Samuel J. Samuelsson´s Big Band and 60 artists doing a visual performance by Helena Jónsdóttir. At the same time, the exhibition INSIDE OUT by David Byrne opened at the museum. A short film about the Festival was made and shown at the opening in the occasion of its 40 year anniversary in 2010.
