Last concert tonight -Barði, Keren Ann, Lady&Bird and Iceland Symphony Orchestra

 

The programme covers their individual careers in new symphonic arrangements. They will also perform together as the dynamic duo Lady and Bird, well known in Iceland after their concert in the Icelandic Opera as part of Reykjavik Arts Festival’;;;s programme in 2005. Until now, the duo has only held three concerts, all to packed houses. Barði and Keren Ann have worked together on various projects in recent years. They have composed music for each other’;;;s albums and in 2003, they released a CD as the duo Lady and Bird, simply called Lady & Bird. They composed the score to the documentary Vie et morts de Andy Warhol and co-wrote a book, Lady & Bird Recording Diary, which was only printed in 1000 copies and sold out immediately. They also wrote music for one of the biggest advertisements in France for the TGV trains. Bang Gang and Keren Ann have performed in concerts all over the world, but only once together.
