A GENUINE SUPERTRIO
"The partnership of Tetzlaff and Andsnes is second to none, with a powerful physicality and intensity manifesting itself not just in the moments of astringent attack but also when the music demands weight of utterance of a more inward kind. The spectrum of shading, rhythm and phrasing is subtle and all-encompassing." This is how the Daily Telegraph described in 2007 the collaboration between pianist Leif Ove Andsnes and violinist Christian Tetzlaff, who will be joined by cellist Tanja Tetzlaff, Christian Tetzlaff's sister for the recital at the Reykjavík Arts Festival. These remarkable soloists, who regularly take a break to from their international carriers to play chamber music together, will perform a romantic, emotionally-charged programme dedicated to Robert Schumann, born 200 years ago this year.
